‘KRANTIVEERA SANGOLLI RAYANNA’ RS.30 CRORE VENTURE - DARSHAN

The challenging star biggest challenge surfaces this year with the release of Rs.30 crore ‘Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna’ as this is the biggest film ever made in Kannada cinema history of 77 years.

Anand Appugol as producer, Darshan in lead role, Naganna as director, Keshav Aditya as dialogue writer and cameraman Ramesh Babu terrific input made in nearly 175 days of shoot is at the final stages of shooting.

Darshan in a quick chat on his forthcoming projects and his continuous love for animals spoke on Monday night at Gold Finch Hotel. Before he left to Belgaum in his Fortune vehicle to reach the shooting on Tuesday morning Darshan was in very jovial mood.

We give you the excerpts of a chat:

• Darshan is setting aside 10 days to dub for ‘Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna’. He has told dialogue writer and one corrects him not to worry if he loses temper. Almost all dialogues are in high pitch. A few lines later nanagu aa reethi aguthe.

• ‘Sangolli Rayanna’ is 30 crores film by first print. Highest in Kannada cinema history. I have given 150 days plus call sheet. It has ten more days shooting.

• The shooting cannot be done at one stretch for this kind of film. Nagannaji starts off with small portions and go to the high voltage ones in all the schedules. That is the correct way. I get ready a day earlier with dialogue sheets for this film.

• According to me historical and mythological films are rare to make. In future I cannot say.

• A film with Sudeep is possible in the coming years. I want it to be a straight film.
•  
• My 50th film requires three to four years. Released and accepted would come to 40 films.

• On 16th of February my birthday ‘Bulbul’ is releasing. I have ‘Viraat’ and ‘Brindavanam’ remake film.

• I am in ‘Snehitharu’ as guest appearance but not in ‘Mesthri’.

• I spend one and half lakhs on my animal’s upkeep every month. I have very good satisfaction.

• I have around 40 horses....I trained around 20 people...Sat and Sunday when I am free I take up training of students. There are about 40 students to learn horse riding.

• On the question why the business is not revealed Darshan says it is for producer to say. Sarathi collection Mysore naanu helidhe....’Chingari’business agirodhu...nan helak agalla....producer helbeku...
